I've seen that some of you have wired computer fans to barrage fire packs. Where do you get those battery packs?
I'm thought process about wiring tierce 80mm computer fans to the back of my mirror cell (which has three 3" holes) and then connecting those fans to a battery pack that holds either double AA batteries or connects to Actinium power. I would mount the fans using velcro and bivalent sided sparkle tape so that vibrations are not an issue at intoxicated mags. I'd like to have the option of victimization AC power since thither is an outside AC release happening the root of my house.
Is this how some of you have done it?

I used 12v fans so only used a 12v 8AA battery pack like the one you linked.
I just screwed mine into the side of my mirror box, nobelium vibration issues.

If you'd like a slightly more stylish approach shot (with less battery languish), I'd suggest this combining:
- Portable USB battery pack with built-in Alternating current connection (Anker PowerCore Fusion 5000):
https://WWW.amazon.com/dp/B01K702S66 - 3 x 80mm 5v fan with USB plug:
https://www.amazon.c.../dp/B019ORFSD8/
You'd have to splice 2 of the devotee connectors together since the might inner circle sole has 2 outputs, but you get the idea. I bought few 5v fans and hooked them up to a portable USB courser synonymous to this one, and they work great. Non the cheapest solution ab initio, only should keep you on battery cost in the long haul.

I use rechargeable batteries. My viewing sessions are typically only an hour or indeed but I've used the fan 7 OR 8 times and haven't needed to recharge yet.
My fan also has a hi and low setting wish I would ingest noticed that before I bought the voltage controller. My battery pack also has an on off switch.
My fan runs off of.......ya I have know idea what 555 pwm means and so.......my fan funs forth of electricity and that's all I have to say about that.

I ran mine the other night for 6 hours nonstop and they still have plenty of juice left. I got antsy (A e'er) and had some regular ol' AA's around, so I popped them in. When they kick it I'll motivate to rechargeables. I credit the club phallus here that designed the 555 pwm circuit. I'm sure one exists on amazon or ebay, but I highly recommend one.

For my Definitive Newtonian Reflector (article down the stairs), I found batteries on EBay. Rechargeable, about 2.5" x 3.5" x 6" for around twenty bucks. I tried to run mine down using one fan incessantly(!) and gave up later two days. That makes for a lot of observing; every last I had to practise was build a box around it and bind it to my mount.

Act up non use AC power, information technology's much too hazardous. Use a 12-volt absorbed glass mat battery which are victimised for among opposite things, emergency lighting, alarm systems and electric wheel chairs. They are sealed, hold a charge identical well, tin be recharged many times and have no electrolyte to leak or spill. Connected my larger Dobs they power the dew heaters, digital setting circles and the cooling fans all night and then some on a full battery charge. I then re-charge the battery after all session. I get along not function the battery belt down doing this and that ensures a very womb-to-tomb sprightliness span. Wire your fans in parallel and I would connect a crimson LED and a 680 Ohm resistance 'tween the load side of the switch and the ground to do as a power on indicator. Between the positive terminal of the shelling and the line side of the swap, install a fuse of the counterbalance esteem for the circuit. It should be in series with everything other in the circuit. That way, if a short develops, the fuse blows alternatively of your battery being ruined, even blowing sprouted. I place the battery in the base where it's out of the way and helps shuffling it more stable by move the center of gravity closer to the ground. You should use a small plastic project box American Samoa an enclosure and a terminal pillage to make your connections, using ring lugs happening the ends of the wires. I attach that to the steel tailgate that supports the primary mirror itself. A pair of Stake On crimpers will crimp the lugs to the wires firmly. Grommets should be used where the wires allow for the box. You can use a double throw, double throw replacement to operate the focal ratio of the fans, using a drop resistor to enable the fans to run at a slow hie to enable the scope to follow changes in night temperatures advisable. On my 10-inch, with a much a switch and a 100 Ohm resistor I run the fan slowly to keep air moving across the back of the primary mirror slowly, without tube currents.

What just about 3 music director fans, how do you run them?
why does a dc fan give birth 3 conductors?
speed mastery.
I don't need No stinkin speed control! I have my personal upper dominance.
so red and black ignore the dishonourable.

For my Conclusive Physicist Reflector (article below), I found batteries on EBay. Rechargeable, about 2.5" x 3.5" x 6" for close to twenty bucks. That's what I do too. It's a 12v gelatin battery. I charge it with a cast off 12 volt transformer from some odd noncurrent composition of equipment. I bought it for an tropic platform I have yet to cultivation building, but have used information technology on a fan for more a year. A pwm dimmer switch oversubscribed as a LED light dimmer kit and boodle wonders.
